As career practitioners working in New Zealand, and indeed as citizens living in New Zealand, we have an obligation to understand our nation’s history and founding document. This webinar series is the first of three modules delivering professional development around CDANZ Competency Framework, No. 6: Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
The Treaty Basics series will cover:
why was the Treaty written?
what does it say?
what went wrong?
where are we today?
The series will be facilitated by Richard Green of the Treaty Resource Centre. Richard is a creative and charismatic facilitator whose passion for the Treaty will leave you in no doubt that this is a topic that matters to all New Zealanders, and that developing your competency in this area will enhance your careers practice. Feedback on Richard’s presentation at the CDANZ National Symposium 2018 included:
“Both informative and entertaining. One of the best workshops I’ve been to” “So refreshing” “Very engaging”
The Treaty Basics series includes four 1 hour webinars held from 12noon to 1pm on Wed 27 March, Wed 3 April, Wed 10 April and Wed 17 April.
The webinars will be provided via Zoom. Once registered you will be sent a link to each webinar the week prior to the scheduled time.
If you are not confident in using this technology please contact ndm@cdanz.org.nz in advance for an orientation and practice. Zoom is very user friendly and can be accessed on any computer or device that connects to the internet with a speaker or phone connection.
You may claim 1 CPD hour per webinar and additional unstructured hours for additional reading as per CDANZ guidelines.
Participants must register for the whole series and in the event that you are unable to participate live in one of the webinars you will be sent a video recording to watch in your own time. It is expected that you will participate live where possible.
